Bubble Football Payback Calculator

Find out how quickly a bubble football set pays for itself where you are.

A bubble football hire business has paid for itself once the events you run cover the cost of the set. On a 12-suit package with four bookings a month at a normal corporate rate, the gear is usually cleared inside the first season. Put your own three figures in below and the calculator gives you the payback period and the first-year result.

Equipment figures are our published package prices, excluding VAT. Revenue figures are your own estimates — this is a planning tool, not a guarantee of earnings, and it leaves out transport, insurance, staffing and marketing.

What is counted here and what is not

The investment figure is the package price for the set size you pick, and it covers carry bags, a repair kit per bubble and an electric pump. It does not cover transport, public liability insurance, registering the business, staffing or marketing — all of which vary far too much from county to county and country to country to estimate honestly. Treat the payback period as the point at which the equipment itself is paid off, not the point at which the business becomes profitable overall.

Questions about these figures

What is the right price per event?

Rates differ a lot between Dublin, a large regional town and a rural area, and between customer types. Corporate team-building bookings pay best, children's parties least, and open public sessions land in between. The safest way to price is to look at what other operators near you charge for a two-hour booking and position yourself against that.

How many bookings a month can I expect?

Demand here is seasonal, strongest from spring through to the early autumn and thin over the winter. Most operators run far more than their average in the good months and almost nothing in January, so base your figure on an average across the full year rather than on a busy weekend.

Are running costs inside the payback figure?

It does not. The payback period covers the equipment only. Diesel and a van, insurance, staffing and marketing are real costs that differ hugely from one operator to the next, and putting a number on them for you would be guesswork. Add your own running costs for a full picture of profitability.
